Ever dreamt of seeing the sky filled with colourful hot air balloons? Well, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is here to lift your spirits—quite literally. This annual gala, which is one of Europe"s largest hot air balloon events, will feature multiple balloon ascents from today until August 11 at Ashton Court estate in Bristol. The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta began in 1979, thanks to a Scottish balloon enthusiast, Don Cameron. From its humble beginnings, it has grown into a massive event attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators. During the festival there are multiple "mass ascents," where up to 100 balloons take to the skies simultaneously.
